Runa Ikeda is a multidisciplinary artist working across painting, drawing, clay work, installation, performance, and video. She graduated from Tokyo Design Academy in 2010, where she studied illustration and design. During her studies, she began to explore painting as a form of self-expression. Her practice has since evolved beyond the self, becoming an inquiry into existence itself and reflecting her worldview in which past, present, and future continuously influence one another.

Her work delves deeply into the complexities of the human psyche, seeking to move beyond the visible world and access deeper layers of consciousness. What began as a means of releasing inner emotions gradually transformed into an exploration of dreams, the subconscious, memory, and the connection between humans and the world. In recent years, Ikeda has expanded her focus to include notions of temporality and eternity inherent in both individuals and the world, creating installations that combine natural materials such as straw with contrasting artificial elements, as well as pursuing new approaches that integrate video, painting, and performance.

池田ルナはペインティング、ドローイング、クレイワーク、インスタレーション、パフォーマンス、映像作品など多様な手法を横断するマルチディシプリナリー・アーティストです。2010年に東京デザインアカデミーを卒業し、イラストレーションとデザインを専攻。在学中に絵画を通して自己表現を始めましたが、その実践は、自己表現からその先へと進んでいき、自己を超えた存在への問いかけでもあり、過去・現在・未来が相互に影響し合うという彼女の世界観を反映しています。

彼女の作品は、人間の複雑な心理に深く踏み込み、目に見える世界の枠を超えて、より深い意識の層へとアクセスしようとする試みです。内面の感情を解放する手段として始まった絵画は、次第に夢や潜在意識、記憶、人間と世界とのつながりといった、意識を超えた領域への探求へと変化していきました。近年は、人間や世界に内在する「時間性」や「永遠性」の概念にも関心を広げ、藁などの自然素材と、その対極にある人工素材を組み合わせたインスタレーション作品の制作や、ビデオ作品、絵画とパフォーマンスの新たなアプローチにも取り組んでいます。
